Blizzard supports your professional development because better instructors are better at creating lifelong skiers and snowboarders and dedicated Blizzard families.
Blizzard pays training and certification bonuses each season for clinic attendance and exam success. We support your participation in our extensive in-house training (offered at no cost to Blizzard instructors!) and also at high-quality training offered outside of Blizzard. Available training and certification bonuses are defined in the Staff Handbook posted on the Staff Portal.
Outside training must meet ALL of the following criteria to be considered for clinic credit or a bonus:
- The event must be publicized and generally available to all instructors. (In-house training at another snowsports school would not qualify, for example.)
- There must be a registration fee to attend the event (in addition to a lift pass, if required).
- The trainer must be qualified, typically PSIA-AASI Level 3 certified or equivalent, or a recognized expert in their field.
Informal or private training such as conventional lessons are not eligible, even if the group leader is highly qualified (certification examiner, D-Team member, etc.). Please do not claim reimbursement from Blizzard if you are already being reimbursed by another organization (no double-dipping).
Submissions are due by March 15, 2027.
Outside training activities will be posted to your activity log after this deadline.
