Blizzard will use Bus Pods and Lesson Pods to minimize contact this season. For example, all programs will have scheduled lunch and warm-up breaks by bus stop. These will be the same all season.
All programs will start together in December and end in March, with six trips over the 12 week season. See the season schedule for more info.
Super Mighty Kids
Our K-5 ski & snowboard programs with all-day supervised groups include Mites, SuperMites and SuperKyds. Group size will be capped at six for all programs (up to 40% smaller), with one or two instructors per group based on the group’s age and ability.
Groups will be formed based on bus stops and skill level. We will still consider friend requests, but friends must be at the same bus stop to be grouped together. Groups may have a wider grade range depending on the makeup of their bus stops.
Lesson schedules will be based on bus stops, with group lessons for all skill levels at each Classic session. You’ll still meet at the Lesson Cones and pass to new Color Levels as your skills improve — and you’ll still have plenty of time to free ski/ride!
Team Blizzard Race
Team Blizzard racers will stay with the team all day to keep separation this season. Coaches will deliver Color Level lessons in addition to gate training. Testing to pass to the next Color Level will be done during team practice instead of at the Lesson Cones.
Apprentice Instructors will join Classic lessons at the cones based on bus stop and Color Level. Lunch and break times will be based on bus stop. Shadow assignments will be modified to accommodate this schedule.
Monday night dryland clinics will be held via Zoom. On-snow clinics will be Direct To Snow, meeting outside in front of the chalet, not indoors.
